Initial Consultation and Inspection

Design Agreement and Final Measure
Now the fun part begins for the homeowners- the designing of their new deck! The Two Day team brought samples right to their house so they could see which composite boards looked best with their house and yard. Trex Toasted Sand was the perfect choice for the decking, stairs, and risers, offering both a premium look and peace of mind with a 25-year warranty. The customer opted to keep their current railing system, so the Two Day team carefully removed the railing and securely reattached it once the composite boards were in place.
Removal of Old Materials
The Two Day team removed all the old flooring and placed it in the onsite dumpster. Before any other work was completed, another inspection of the current structure was performed to ensure a solid framework. With a sturdy frame, the team placed joist tape on the beams to decrease potential damage from moisture, increase its longevity.
Installation of Composite Decking
The new, durable composite boards were placed on the structure and attached with a hidden fastening system. This allows for a clean, smooth appearance without leaving any screws visible on the main decking surface. The boarding edges required top screws to secure them, which were later filled with color matching plugs to hide the holes. Next, the original railings were reinstalled, which matched great with the composite deck boards.
Completion and Walk Through
Composite deck conversion: complete! Following a final walkthrough, these homeowners are ready to enjoy outdoor dining and beautiful lake views from their brand-new, maintenance-free deck.
