What are the Material Options?

For the deck floor we recommend using either composite, or treated lumber. Composite flooring is a low maintenance, durable, and long lasting solution. On the other hand, treated lumber is a more cost effective solution, and maintains the wood aesthetic better than composite. Our composite solutions come with a minimum 25 year manufacturer’s limited warranty, and can increase from there based on product selection.

For the railings we recommend using either aluminum, a cable railing system, or treated lumber, but we can also supply PVC, composite, or other railing types.

 

What are the Steps?

1. Remove and dispose of your existing flooring and railings

2. Add additional joists or structural support as needed

3. Apply joist tape to protect the joists from moisture penetration

4. Install a picture frame around the deck

5. Install the deck flooring, using no-show fasteners and colored caps for optimal appearance!

6. Install cladding and stair risers

7. Install the new railing, which can even include a drink rail!

8. Full cleanup, and we’ll even help put your furniture back!
